Roxanna Fiorentino Dip Dent Hygiene RCS Eng 2011

Dental Hygienist

GDC  : 141968

I started work at Cressex Dental practice in 2003 and originally trained as a dental nurse I gained my dental nursing qualification and also gained a qualification in dental radiography. After five years happily working as a dental nurse I decided to further my career by enrolling on a dental hygiene course. I graduated from The Greater Manchester School For Dental Care Professionals in March 2011 with a diploma in Dental Hygiene and was very excited to learn that a position had arisen back at Cressex Dental Practice. It is lovely to be back with my original team and I’m enjoying treating many familiar and new patients. In my spare time away from the dental practice I enjoy exercising, relaxing, travelling and have a keen interest in cooking.Save

Dental Hygienist

GDC : 114677

I have been in the dental field for over 15 years. After completing work experience for a dental practice in the community in which I lived, I realised that this was the profession in which I wanted to work. I trained as a dental nurse and qualified the following year. I obtained further qualifications in Human Biology, Dental Radiography and four handed Dentistry and later became a Senior Nurse. I have experience in working within community practice, the Ministry of Defence and private practice. I then went on to obtain a place at The School of Dental Hygiene, Newcastle University and qualified in 2007. I joined Cressex Dental Practice shortly after qualifying and my position is currently Senior Dental Hygienist. My main role within the practice is to promote awareness of dental diseases and educate patients in prevention of those diseases. I also provide treatment such as scaling and polishing of teeth, stain removal and general maintenance of oral hygiene. Patients are shown intra-oral cleaning aids to suit their requirements and dexterity to maintain good oral hygiene at home. I am passionate about my profession and aim to give patients gentle, relaxed and thorough treatment. I attend regular courses, seminars and webinars for continuing professional development to maintain a high standard of care to patients. In my spare time I enjoy walking, going to the cinema, reading, cooking and arts and crafts.
